How to Register for a FSSAI License?

FSSAI registration is not an easy task. You will have to fulfill several criteria to get your license. The first thing you have to do is apply for the license by filling the form available at the FSSAI website. You will have to provide all the relevant details about yourself and your business in the form.

The next step is to pay a fee of Rs 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only). This will be refunded if you fail in any step of the process but not otherwise. The application can be made online or through your bank account but it should be made in cash or through cheque or demand draft only.

After paying the fee, you will get a receipt for it which will be valid for one year along with an appointment letter that needs to be presented at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) or Canara Bank within that period itself along with a photo identity card and other documents required by them as per their guidelines.

The third step would be completing one year’s residency in India before applying for a license. This means that you must stay here for at least six months before applying for your license
