GMR Aerocity Hospital Project at IGI Airport, New Delhi
In accordance with the Operation, Management, and Development Agreement dated April 4th, 2006 (OMDA) with the Airport Authority of India (AAI), Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has been granted exclusive rights to run, manage and develop Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi (IGI Airport) for a period of 30 years, extendable by the AAI for an additional 30 years. The OMDA permits DIAL to undertake certain commercial development activities on adjacent parcels to the Airport Site, as part of its right to operate, manage, and develop the IGI Airport.

With a commitment to establish IGI Airport as one of the leading international airports, inter alia, in terms of quality and efficiency, DIAL intends to develop a state-of-the-art multi-speciality hospital at GMR Aerocity, IGI Airport in New Delhi. The proposed development of the project is coherent with DIAL’s pursuit of operational excellence at or around the airport by setting up a world-class hospital catering to domestic and international passengers seeking medical assistance. It is a unique and first-of-its-kind greenfield opportunity with a potential Built Up Area (BUA) of approx. 5 lac sq. ft..
It has been reported that a selected bidder will be responsible for developing, procuring, financing, constructing, engineering, operating, and maintaining the project, as well as installing medical equipment and undergoing repairs (when necessary), as provided by the provisions of the definitive agreement between the selected bidder and DIAL.
A number of initiatives are being carried out by DIAL in collaboration with governmental authorities to integrate, create and improve infrastructure around IGI Airport in order to ensure superior connectivity and infrastructure.
